The Splash head is a more sophisticated form of tear drop stopper. It has entry holes on the straight side of its condensing finger which allows for the safe addition of acid or reagents during the digestion. The tapered bottom dribbles the added reagent down the wall of the digestion tube to minimise the thermal shock when adding acids at room temperature to the boiling digest.
