What voltage, power and current to the controller model SC 180? Thanks
The controller requires 120 V, 60 Hz power. Each block requires 9 amps. The plug supplied is a 20 amp plug to ensure adequate current to both blocks if the controller is operating a maximum capacity.
Is an external probe (SC183) required to set the controller temperature for each block?
The HotBlock Pro controller can operate two individual HotBlocks. Please note that this controller is only compatible with the Pro series of HotBlocks.

At the moment our HotBlocks are ETL certified to 150 C but can go up to 180 C. This is the highest temperature they can currently achieve.
With a different controller, would Is it possible for the HotBlock to reach higher temperatures (250degC)?
It is not possible for the Hot Block to reach a temperature higher than 180 degrees Celsius as it is limited by maximum temperature capacity of the heater mat.
Are your hotblocks UL approved?
All HotBlocks are ETL Certified. The certification is based upon the standard requirements for UL 61010 - \"Safety Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control and Laboratory Use\".
