HotBlock Pro with Touch-Screen Remote Control

For use with SC180 HotBlock Pro Controller.

The 54-well HotBlock Pro for 50mL samples is shown with the SC180 external controller. The separate controller is designed to work with one or two blocks. Blocks that are compatible with the SC180 controller are the SC181 shown here. The touch-screen controller adds a new dimension of flexibility to our HotBlock line. Using the controller, the analyst can program and store up to 15 methods for easy access. As many as six steps can be programmed for each method. Programmed functions for each method include temperature ramp rate, temperature set point, sample soak time, and shutoff. The SC 181 comes with three 18-place acrylic transfer racks for safe, convenient handling of samples.

All blocks in the HotBlock Pro Series are manufactured with the same rigorous specifications as our other blocks. Blocks are manufactured from Teflon*-coated graphite and other non-metallic materials. They are designed to withstand the environmental challenges of the metals laboratory. All blocks maintain a setpoint of ±0.1 °C and provide sample consistency of ±1.5°C.

An optional external thermocouple (SC183) can be used to monitor and record sample temperatures.
