GASTEC gas detector tubes are thin glass tubes with calibration scales printed on them so you can directly read concentrations of the substances (gases and vapours) to be measured. Each tube contains a particulate matrix (e.g. silica gel, alumina) which binds carefully selected and highly stable detection reagents that are especially sensitive to the target substance in order to produce a distinct layer of colour change. The tubes are hermetically sealed at both ends.

Today over 600 types of target gas can be measured.

I am looking for the components that will cause an interference in the actual H2S reading, which results in a reading higher than the actual value, but within the range of the tube.

Here is information from Gastec, the manufacturer of the tubes: Detector tubes are primarily designed to measure specific\r\ngases. But it is also possible to measure other substances\r\nof similar chemical properties with the aid of a correction\r\nfactor or chart. A correction factor is a figure which is\r\nmultiplied by the concentration interpreted from the colour\r\nstarting on the detector tube. The correction may also be\r\npresented as a chart on tube if the correction relationship\r\nis nonlinear. Therefore, please make use of the correction\r\nfactor/chart measuring ranges as a reference. Moreover,\r\nthis factor may vary slightly between production batches.\r\nPer Gastec the tubes are specific to the analyte of interest. There is a specific tube for every type including H2SO4, therefore the only thing detected on the IH4LT tube would be H2S.

What are the interferences that will result in a higher concentration of H2S with these tubes

If the tubes are exposed to higher amounts of the target analyte than what their range is intended for you will saturate the tube which will result in the entire tube changing color. You would only know that the concentration of the atmosphere was greater than the highest marking on the tube.

I would like to better understand the interferences that would result in recording a higher concentration of H2S.
