m-FC prepared plates for Fecal coliform: Media may range from cornflower blue or hazy red to cranberry. Fecal colonies are dark blue. Non-fecal colonies are gray.

Pre-prepared Media Plates are available for Fecal Coliform (Standard Methods 9222D). These prepared plates come ready-to-use and include prepared media in sterile petri dish. Every order ships with date stamp tag on each sleeve and includes a Quality Control Document. Shipping method may vary depending on location.

Instructions for using m-FC Media Plates (SM9222D):

Step 1: Filter bacteria sample as normal for membrane filtration.

Step 2: Incubate at 44.5° ±0.2° Celsius for 24 ± 2 hours in wet bath.

Step 3: Remove after incubation period; then count blue colonies.
Non- fecal colonies will appear gray to cream colored.

Step 4: Report # colony forming units / 100 mL : (CFU/100 mL)
